Useful info to the press:
Accreditation
To have access to the media centre, media representatives must have an accreditation card issued specifically for this meeting. The accreditation card is personal and non transferable and must be used visibly at all times.
The accreditation card does not replace the identity document, which can be asked for at any time.
The accreditation centre is located at Hotel Santa Eulália, next to the media centre’s entrance.

Transport
A shuttle service will be available between the hotels recommended by the organisation and the media centre. Its schedule will be duly announced.
Vehicle parking
Next to the media centre there is a park for technical vehicles.
Media representatives who use their own cars can use a car park located close to the accreditation centre.
Due to space limitation, access to these parks will only be permitted after receipt of the vehicle identification form and confirmation of available spaces.

Media centre
The media centre is located inside the meeting venue, the Hotel Grande Real Santa Eulália at Praia de Santa Eulália, in Albufeira.
Equipment
The media centre is installed in a tent and is equipped with 120 individual workstations, with telephone and internet access. Some workstations are also equipped with ISDN/RDIS lines. Computers, printers, fax machines and photocopiers for common use will also be available. Workstations will be used on a first-come-first-served basis. Radio and television booths are equipped with pool access, internet access, a telephone and a television. Radio booths also have ISDN/RDIS lines.
Press conferences and briefings
Briefings will be announced by the organisation/media through the closed circuit television network (CCTV), upon the request of delegations.
Access to briefing and the presidency’s press conference rooms is allowed to all accredited media representatives.
The presidency’s press conferences may be followed live (audio and video) through the presidency’s page www.eu2007.pt or the closed circuit television – CCTV.

Image coverage
Photographic reporters and cameramen have access to the events set in the programme when accompanied by a member of the Organisation. Due to space limitations, some events will be covered only by RTP/Host Broadcaster and by the Presidency’s official photographer.
Images of the Meeting will be made available by RTP/Host Broadcaster. Through the side of the Portuguese Presidency, Media representatives will have access to the photos of the Meeting, exclusively for editorial use, made available by Lusa Agency – Host Photographer.
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV): The Closed Circuit Television system, available in all areas of the Media Centre, broadcasts the main events, transportation and briefing schedules and other useful information.
Interviews
Requests for interviews must be made directly to the Delegations or the Liaison Officer, whose contacts are available at the Media Centre. For security reasons, the area reserved for interviews is located in the Media Centre or surrounding area.
